P r o g n o s i s
The report in the month of February 2017 shows a high increase of early warning and incidence reports in Rivers, Baylesa, Delta and Edo State, while other remaining states in the Niger Delta had a decrease in reports of lethal violence in the states although on the high side compare to January report which is relatively reduced. The recurrent incidents of cult clashes, Kidnapping, and violent criminality have the potential to exacerbate the current insecurity in the Rivers, Bayelsa and Delta state. The CWC is monitoring the situation closely and report appropriately to the necessary on the flashpoint states.
